Post Doc Position for Optical Coherence Tomography

A PostDoc position is available from March 1, 2020 at the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, Medical University of Vienna.

We offer a research position in the field of biomedical imaging with strong interdisciplinary collaboration. Our research group is developing novel coherent biomedical imaging methods based on parallel OCT and digital adaptive optics to overcome the conventional resolution limits and to pave the way from pure structural to functional tissue and cell metabolic imaging. This involves profound knowledge of theoretical and experimental optics, system engineering, data and image processing, as well as hands-on experience in modern biomedical optics methods, in particular of optical coherence tomography, optical biometry, and holography.

The successful candidate has a PhD in engineering sciences, physics, biomedical engineering or equivalent with an outstanding record in her/his field of research. She/He has strong communication skills, which are a pre-requisite for cooperating in a multi-disciplinary environment. Mastering of LabView or MatLab are indispensible, knowledge of Zemax, Code V or similar would strengthen the application.

Interested candidates should send a CV, a short motivation letter, and names and e-mails of at least two references to
