We aim on implementing high-resolution MR-methodology with different contrast-weighing up to even microscopic scale (< 100 µm) on high-field (B0 =7 T) human Scanners. High spatial resolution in MRI is essential for the early diagnosis of micro-morphological changes related to pathologies in humans.
This main aim is achieved for safety reasons mainly on tissue ex-vivo using special hardware inserts, developing software, pulse sequences, parameter weighings and MR-protocols on an operating platform for human scanners.
We work on microimaging and MR-microscopy applications not only for human tissue but also on polymer materials used in Medicine. An important application field is representd by MRI-based 3D-dosimetry for radiation therapy.
